Beach Cleaning at Menjangan Island
On the 24th May 2019, Menjangan Dynasty Resort joined forces with Clean Menjangan Island (CMI) organisation to carry out a major clean-up that saw the removal of all rubbish littering the area. This environmental initiative will become a monthly activity for the resort. The aim is not only to keep the island clean and green, but also educate staff members and the local community about the importance of proper waste management.
Commenting on this activity, Resort Manager, Mr. Dede said, “We collected 207kg of plastic from Menjangan Island. It is very important that everyone gets involved in this kind of activity so as to ensure the cleanliness of the area. Menjangan Island has been dubbed as one of Bali’s best diving destinations and we should do our part to keep it free from unsightly rubbish.”
Clean Menjangan Island is a non-profit organisation established in October 2015 with a total of 12 members from hotels, resorts and dive operators in the immediate area. A regular clean-up involving all members is scheduled once in a month on top of the current three times a week clean-up by an appointed team.
Twin Lakes Festival
Located in front of the Ulun Danu Buyan Temple at Pancasari Village, Sukasada and Ulun Danu Tamblingan at Munduk Village, Banjar, Twin Lake Festival is aimed to introduce original Buleleng agricultural products – the name “Twin Lake” refers to the Buyan Lake and Tamblingan Lake. The festival creates opportunities for visitors to try the seafood selection and locally grown exotic fruits. With its Bull Races Parade, traditional game Gangsing Competition, Fruit Arrangement Competition, and Handy Craft Exhibition, the festival offers entertaining ways to spend your time in Bali. The people of Buleleng perform traditional, unique sports at one of the events. This year, the Twin Lakes Festival is set to be held on the 3rd to 6th of July.
Bulcofest is Buleleng Coffee Festival which is held alternately in coffee producing every year. This festival is held to introduce the types and unique creations of robusta and arabica coffee in Buleleng. This year, Bulcofest 2019 is set to be held on the 22nd to 23rd of July 2019.
One of the concepts in the Balinese Hindu religion is to keep nature in balance. For that reason, the Balinese conduct a ceremony for all kind of plants that is called Tumpek Uduh. This auspicious occasion is also known as Tumpek Wariga or Tumpek Pengatag and it is dedicated to Sanghyang Sangkara, Lord of all food/plants. A special ritual involving prayers and offerings is performed, primarily by farmers across the island, to bless everything growing on the land seeking a productive and abundant crop. This year, Tumpek Uduh will be celebrated on the 29th June 2019.
An amazing resort - fantastic stay there thanks to the wonderful staff. The tents are so comfortable and every amenity provided. Highly recommend the restaurant for delicious food! Can’t wait to go back! – Terri, Oklahoma, USA
The room has a good design and plenty of space. The bathroom is separate to the main seating area and there is a nice lounge chair also good for a daytime nap. The bathroom has an amazing giant bath perfect for soaking and watching a Boxset in. The bed was a good size and nice pillows and bedding. The housekeeping team did a great job always giving us fresh towels and changing the sheets when asked.
The food and drink at the resort are also really good and lots of choice for vegetarians and vegans. As non drinkers we also enjoyed the extensive mocktail options. – Jimmy, London, UK
I spent 2 nights at Menjangan Dynasty “glamping ” for the first time and thoroughly loved it. The rooms/tents had everything you would want - aircon/fans/ wifi/ TV/tea and coffee facilities and the beds so comfy. You have your own porch outside. Loved the large pool - as hot as the weather was the water was lovely and cool. So relaxing looking over the water and seeing fishermen fishing in chest high water. Loved the food and alcohol selection matched with great service. This resort is recommended- great accommodation, great staff, excellent service. AND I have to mention a great spa with therapists offering excellent massage close to the water where you relax listening to the water. – Judy, Brisbane, AU
